***UPDATE***
Changed from originsl 3 stars rating to 5 stars rating after company contacted us to offer to fix remainder of mismatch bath accessories (but we already had done so at our expense), so they offered a rebate instead. They pride themselves on service and reputation, so we apprecate their after the fact service, but we discussed what should help future customers' experiences with this company. We are providing the company credit this way for this review, based on their willingness to assist after the fact.
Original Review:
I'm split, we had an experience with both pros & cons. Unfortunately I was unable to be there during the repair, so I had to trust their price, reviews, and professionalism:
Pros:
- Seemed professional and good communication
- On time
- Work appears to be good after a few weeks and they offered 1 year warranty
Cons:
- When I offered to open up the drywall behind the shower before they came for the repair and I would fix the drywall after, but they said no, they can just access it from the front. Upon completion however, they broke/cut tiles to make a bigger hole from the front and used a "remodeling plate". Really wished they would have discussed this as it is not a great look and could have been avoided with a drywall repair instead from behind.
- Our whole bathroom was Brushed Nickel matching accessories, but they installed a Chrome plate, handle and spout - stood out like a sore thumb.
- They did not replace the showerhead (which is also why it looked bad as nothing matched), which apparently was included but they elected not to. To their credit, after speaking with them asking, "If this were your home, would you be happy with how it looks?" and they could understand the frustration for the price paid (as they aren't the cheapest), they came back to replace the showerhead so it at least matched (but it was strange as this was not discussed or offered, and they would have simply kept the showerhead otherwise).
- They walked through the house with shoes on. Altough they asked my wife the day of the repair, and she relunctantly said it's fine as she was going to clean up & vaccum after they were done, when they came back to do the showerhead the next day, it was raining and they didn't ask, just walked through the house with shoes on. Maybe I grew up differently, but taking your shoes off when you enter somone's house was just a given for anyone (especially for a professional).
So overall, I'm torn on rating. Definately not 5 stars or 1 star, but I'll go with 3 stars. I provided them this constructive feedback, and they seemed receptive to it, so hopefully other home owners have a five star experience from them. Our experience just wasn't horrible or spectacular, it was meh.
